On 8-24-99, I went to a site that offered free viewing. It stated that I would not be charged!, in bold red letters. It asked for my credit card number to allow me to enter. The following month, I was billed 60 dollars on my Visa account. I did not recieve anything from this company and they fraudulently billed me for services I did not use. I have taken this matter up with my credit card company, and at one point I had to fill out a form to send back to them. I forgot to sign the form, so they sent it back with their findings for me to sign. It stated on the findings, that there was no transaction found between me and the company. I still have not been reimbursed for the 60 dollars. That was 5 months ago. The name of the company was Muck-A-Muck. It states that their e-mail is *MUKAMUK.COM. Please use my information to help anyone else that falls into this trap.

I have been reading your information on the WEB, and finally I can see some hope for my problems. Each month for some months now I have been charged USD 60 for something called Lakadaisical*ladsel.com. I have been unable to find out who this is and how to stop it. I have not order a membership, so this is wrong. Should I just cansel my VISA Card and get an all new account ? Is this the only sollution to make this stop ?

I have been ripped off by Knock Knee 800-811-6977 . The have charged my account 4 times 59.40 . I contacted a representative at the number above he said my card would be credited . these people are committing big time fraud. I filled a complaint with the FCC. Please e-mail me concerning this matter . These people need to be stopped ASAP.

I have just been victimized by this “obsession” scam and found your site. Who is WEB110? Are you a group of private citizens or an organization?
This appears to be a legitimate site so I have been using your advice in pursuing the removal of the $118.80 that was charged to my credit card. I am very interested in pursuing legal recourse in this matter. I have contacted my credit card Company and am following the procedure for disputing a charge. I was informed that they could not pursue a fraud claim unless I am charged three times. I was charged twice by KNOCK KNEE and am willing to bet that I will not recieve another charge from that particular entity.
I have been “assured” by a person (Steven O’reilly) in the billing department at “Multimedia”, that my credit card will be credited the amount that was charged by KNOCK KNEE *KNCKK.com. I am dubious. I called back later to confirm that the changes were made, I requested a document stating that the billing has been reversed, and was told that my card would reflect the change in 7-10 business days. I repeated that I wanted a printout, hard copy of a document that would reflect these changes. They took my information (Fax # etc.) it has been over an hour and I still have had no fax. This whole operation feels like a complex scam.
Anyway, your website was very useful, and I pledge my support in pursuing legal action if any can be taken.

I was fraudulently billed $60.00 on 11/02/99 from my BANKING account! I guard my account information well, even have a paper shredder to eliminate any chance of someone illegally or unethically obtaining information. How could this have occurred???? I will now close my banking account, causing a few inconveniences, to help insure this does not occur again. Please let me know what I can do to help other victims.

I was charged twice by the 888-276-0474 number. Once under the name “Kick Over” and once under “Luna”. I did enter my card number to Cun-TV for an “age verified free tour”. I consented to nothing more and was charged $59.99 under each name.

I recently saw 3 amounts on my credit card that I had not authorised. These were:
KNOCK KNEE *KNCKK.COM 8008116977 $93.08 Australian ($59.40 US)
KICKTURN *KICKTN.COM 8008207210 $94.01 Australian ($60.00 US)
MUCK-A-MUCK *MUKAMUK.COM 8007525740 $94.01 Australian ($60.00 US).
I received an e-mail regarding a “free” adult site some time ago and decided to have a look. There was a page which asked for my credit card number for proof of age and said that my card “would not be billed”. Stupid me, believing them, had a look at the site, decided it was nothing special and moved on. There were links to similar site that had the same message and so I looked at 2 of them as well, hence the 3 bills.
I did receive a user id and password, however I was not asked for any more information (e.g. name, address etc). I did not know that there was any charge associated with using this site, until I saw this on my credit card.
I have managed (I think) to cancel my membership now and hope there will not be any future bills.
What can I do? Is it just bad luck because they gave me a user id and password? I don’t want to have to pay for these services as I did not really use them. I just had a quick look and then left.
Please help!

I have already had two refunds from the dispute side of my company and am in the process of awaiting a third disclaimer form. I have recently completely closed my account and have arranged with the company that no more transactions are billed on the old number. The club were taking ｣36-｣37 a month from my account. The phone number for KICK OVER is 8882760474 and for KNOCK KNEE is 8008116977. I am in New Zealand and was billed on three sites in August. They were MUCK-A-MUCK, KICK OVER and KNOCK KNEE.I aggressively e-mailed all three sites and received an immediate refund from KNOCK KNEE.KICK OVER cancelled the subscription but MUCK-A-MUCK did not reply. I then sent a very aggressive e-mail to OBSESSION based on your complaint mail format. MUCK-A-MUCK suddenly replied,first cancelling the subscription and then after another aggressive e-mail from me, refunding in full.I am still pursuing a refund from the third site.
I was also billed in August by ONLINE CREDIT CORP and CCBILL.COM both of whom refunded immediately. I don’t know if these sites are connected in any way but I had never accessed any of these sites before they billed me and had not given out details of my credit card.I noticed that ONLINE CREDIT CORP has links with adult sites. I have registered a complaint with the FTC as you suggest.Thank you for a wonderful site which has been very helpful to me.

On 8/8/99 I received a billing on my credit card for $60.00 from Bird n Bee,I*YBird.com.(800 789 8115) NY. ON 9/5/99 that billing did not appear but a new one, Lakadaisical*Ladsel.com (800 789 8115) NY, did appear for the same amount.

I contacted you on 10/4/99 to report my experience with the obsession cases.
I had two fraudulent bills on my credit card both with the same phone numbers,but different names: BIRD N BEE,I*YBIRD.COM AND LAKADAISICAL.*LADSEL.COM. When I contacted the customer service rep there they did not deny that they were one and the same. In fact I asked what these charges were and he stated that they were for the same thing: membership in an internet adult site. I am sending the letters that you recommended to both of these merchant names. I am forwarding these also to you. Let me know if you received them as I am not completely e-mail educated.

I recently copied your report and with the infomation contained in your report called my credit card company. They were aware of the problem with this company called “Obsession” and quickly took the charges off my bill. I got $300.00 in charge back. Thanks for all you useful and valuable information.

i also noticed 2 further strange billings on my card-account:

as you see it seems to work the same way, different company-names every month. also the amount is similar to obsession one’s. i don’t know if this is also obsession-related, but maybe you are interested in that.
